Pro Tips

  • Leave width empty to auto-center using the longest line.
  • Use spaces for natural centering; use symbols (/, \, ·, –) for visual effects.
  • For posters or menus, pick a fixed width (e.g., 30–50) for consistent layout.
  • Set extra on right for western text; try extra on left for mirrored aesthetics.

FAQs

Q: Can I center text without specifying width?
A: Yes. The tool uses the longest line to determine centering when width is empty.

Q: Can I use Unicode characters as fills?
A: Absolutely. Any single character works, including “•”, “→”, “·”, “/”, “\”.

Q: Does my text leave the browser?
A: No. Everything runs locally on your device for privacy and speed.

Q: Why two checkboxes for extra symbol?
A: They let you pick which side gets the extra fill when padding is odd. If both are unchecked, the tool defaults to the right.
